Vulnerabilities in Microsoft Office Excel Could Cause Remote Code Execution
Posted on April 20th, 2009 No commentsMicrosoft Security Bulletin MS09-009 – Critical
Published: April 14, 2009Version: 1.0
General Information
Executive Summary
This security update resolves a privately reported and a publicly disclosed vulnerability. The vulnerabilities could allow remote code execution if the user opens a specially crafted Excel file. An attacker who successfully exploited these vulnerabilities could take complete control of an affected system. An attacker could then install programs; view, change, or delete data; or create new accounts with full user rights. Users whose accounts are configured to have fewer user rights on the system could be less impacted than users who operate with administrative user rights.

Page Break Preview in Office 2007
Posted on April 20th, 2009 No commentsDuring many of the training sessions I give, a common question has been where the “Page Break Preview” option has been hidden in Office 2007.
Many people used to access it from the button on the top of the print preview screen (Excel 2003 and prior). It is longer there.
It can now be found in one of two places.

New Beginnings
Posted on April 20th, 2009 No commentsWeExcel has been developing in the Excel for 10 years. Our solutions are advanced and specialised in the Excel environments. We wish to share these skills, tips and tricks with others.
We encourage people to share this blog with others as well as post comments and questions.
We will from time to time post challenges out to the general public as well as ask people to vote on issues.
We also intend to share the good, the bad and the ugly issues surrounding Excel. Microsoft has done superb work on Excel yet there are issues that need to be addressed, and we hope that discussions around these issues will encourage Microsoft to take note and address them.
We hope that people find this blog usefull.
